As a homeschooler, one site that I regularly visit is Freely Educate. I find this site very helpful as it shares a lot of homeschool resources that are for free. This is where I found out about Zoodles, Old Schoolhouse, Currclick and I got to download 10 free ebooks (through a coupon) from Scholastica and other sites. And now, Freely Educate is giving a chance for its readers to win a free Kindle. Oh, I just hope that’s me! I’ve been wanting to have a Kindle for sometime now. If you want to have an opportunity to win a free Kindle, then visit FreelyEducate.com now!

We are currently planning our Christmas and year end parties in the schools and villages which we are involved. It’ll be such an exciting time for us as well as the students. Most of our students are from a different culture and religious background, so it’ll be some kind of a cultural experience for them as we show them how and why we celebrate Christmas. We’ll be giving gifts to the kids in the village too. Some of the teachers are already practicing their presentations now. It’ll be nice to have all the high tech system like an avr-1712, so the audience can clearly...

We were in Penang, Malaysia last week. We went there for ‘business’ but then I was hoping we could visit the museum or a few of the heritage sites while we were there. But unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time so we missed the opportunity. Anyways, there will always be a next time. Hopefully then, we could spare a day or two just for an educational tour for the kids and maybe visit the museum, heritage sites or trade show displays. But I wonder, when would that next time be?

I love Chrome’s Zoodles. It’s indeed a safe, educational ‘playground’ for the kids. So every weekend I let my kids explore the virtual ‘playground’ for an hour. Here are some of the features that I love from Zoodle. * It age appropriate. You can create an account for each of your child and they can surely play educational games that are appropriate for their age. * The games are not simply games but it promotes a certain subject or certain skill. * No Ads or unnecesary chatting * It’s safe and you can be assured that your child won’t accidentally...

Kids are always curious right? Being curious is somehow a good sign since we then know that they are thinking .. As a mom of 2 kids, I’ve already encountered a lot of their curious questions though some of these need thorough answers but then, sometimes we have to simply some stuff according to how much they can understand. My kids have asked me question from death to prescription drug abuse addiction . I always like it when they ask me and I never consider it as a nuisance. They more they ask, the more they get answers and therefore, they learn more.
