Finally, my girl has eased her way back to our homeschooling schedule. After our long break ( Christmas and New Year) we had a bit of difficulty going back to our regular schedule. We actually covered quite a lot today. For our history, we continued about the Pyramids and the Kings then she read a book about the discovery of the tomb of Tutankhamen, a story about a missionary in Mexico and then for Language Arts, I let her do a spelling test which she scored perfectly and a little bit of copywork. When our kids were smaller, we would often buy for them little ‘surprises’ when Hubby and I goes out and leave them with our cousin. Since we live far from our homecountry, we don’t have our immediate family members with us. So, our kids are not used being left alone with other family members. Some of them may even be using CozyWinters.com electric blankets. Anyways, I hope that the weather in the south will be better when we go back. I heard that some parts of the city has been flooded a few days ago. As for me, I don’t really mind...

I don’t have any problems with the current curriculum I’m using. My daughter and I actually love it so much, but the only problem we have is that it’s US based and it doesn’t give any ‘certification’. So, if my daughter moves to regular school anytime, I have to make my own class records and certification. This has actually worked for a lot of people. But getting a certification and backing from a real school is...
