Our Homeschool Room

I just finished preparing our lessons for the Children’s program starting tomorrow. After a few nights of working on this program bit by bit, it’s finally done. It’s my prayer that the children will truly be blessed with the program and somehow go back home with a few things learned from us. Originally, we were not supposed to take responsibility with this program, but since the committee backed out at the last minute, one of the organizers requested us to take care of it. So we did and I have to let go of my desire of sitting undisturbed at the conference ( separate program... 

Three years ago, God has given us the opportunity to visit Hong Kong. It’s really amazing how the ‘impossible’ became ‘possible’ for us through Airasia’s zero fare and free accommodation in our cousin’s house. Our daughter was only 5 years old that time while our son was 3. It was our daughter who truly enjoyed that trip and still remembers it until now. While my son only has a memory about Minnie mouse and that’s it. But recently, he asked us when we can go back to Disneyland. Oh, it’ll truly be nice to get cheap disney packages and go back... 

Photo not mine I’m quite excited for our trip to Bangkok next week. To save costs, it’ll just be my daughter and I who will be travelling this time and be staying there for a night. Since our time is very limited, I had to choose the best possible destination for us once we finish my important transaction at the embassy. After searching through different places, I’ve decided for us go to Central World. This is quite a big mall with a skating rink, a Genius park and the TK Center ( The knowledge Center). That is apart from the hundreds of shops and food outlets inside the mall.... 

My daughter loves this song from Britt Nicole entitled All This Time. Whenever she hears this on the radio, she immediately stops what she’s doing, turn on the wall speakers‘ volume and sing the song. Usually, this song comes up during their playtime in the morning and her little brother gets annoyed with the ‘break’ as she stops playing with him and sing the song with all her heart. LOL! Anyways, we have a ‘mission’ and that is to master this song with me playing the guitar and my daughter doing the vocals and post it in Youtube. Of course, I’ll be too... 

I was taught in a traditional school setting all my life. Now, that I’m homeschooling my kids, I find it a bit difficult to ‘decipher’ whether she is really learning what she’s supposed to be learning at this age. I’m not even so sure whether the amount of time that I homeschool here is sufficient or not. I’m quite concern whether she is lagging behind kids her age or getting ahead.
