I was taught in a traditional school setting all my life. Now, that I’m homeschooling my kids, I find it a bit difficult to ‘decipher’ whether she is really learning what she’s supposed to be learning at this age. I’m not even so sure whether the amount of time that I homeschool here is sufficient or not. I’m quite concern whether she is lagging behind kids her age or getting ahead. These are the questions that has been bogging my head for a few days.

Maybe it’s because of the fact that our homeschool time has been quite irregular again because she’s joining the English Summer workshop. Admittedly, she really doesn’t need to be in that workshop since her English is very good ( this workshop is for Thai students) but then, we just decided to let her join so she can have new friends and keep in touch with her old friends. In short, we’re just after the ‘socialization’ part of it.

Anyways, I guess I really have so much to learn about homeschooling even if this is already my second year. I admit, I’ve been quite laidback in my approach and I guess I have to try harder to be more organized and let my children get the most out of their homeschool experience.

Is this post making sense? I hope so, but at least I’m able to pour out what has been on my mind the past days…
