We had a failed trip to Ikea Bangkok during our last visit to Bangkok the other week. We planned to go there, but since we didn’t get bus tickets for the weekend due to the long Thai holiday, we had to cut our trip short. My daughter and I were quite disappointed with that failed trip since we were both looking forward in going there. I love going to Ikea since I get a lot of inspiration in maximizing space and beautifying the house at such low costs. I love the warehouse feel with their big pallet racks near the check out counter too. As for my daughter, she likes the ‘freedom’...

I felt a bit harsh on my kids as I announced to them that this week they can’t watch TV and for my daughter, she can’t read her favorite pocketbooks. This is actually some kind of a disciplining effort after they did something. Today is their 4th day and surprisingly, they didn’t ask me about watching TV. As for my daughter, I could find her reading more of her science and history books. She hasn’t done this for awhile after being hooked with Enid Blyton and the like. Since they don’t have the TV time in the afternoon, they are playing more and doing a lot of crafts...

My son loves to role play as a Doctor. Sometimes, I play with him and I become his patient. Oh, I love to be his patient, because he’s a very gentle doctor and he also gives free kisses! I wonder if my son would be interested to become a doctor like John Kerr MD in the future. But somehow, I see that his interests are quite different, he loves to build and he’s also very good in logic. Hmmm.. it’s quite puzzling to ‘foresee’ his future now. But one thing for sure, whatever career or profession he wants to pursue in the future, I will always be there to support...

Here’s our kids seriously making Chapati on our rustic dining table. I like how this night turned out. Hubby was supposed to teach me on how to make chapati, but since our kids were also eager to try out rolling the pin and kneading the dough, they also joined in. They truly had a blast and they were very proud of eating the Chapati they made! Yes, we should do this next time.. cook dinner as a family. Our next recipe will be Roti Canai. I’m sure this will also be fun… but challenging for me since I haven’t tried making Roti Canai yet.

Choosing the right school for your child is very important and crucial in the habits he or she will form and the things that he or she will learn. With the amount of time that your child will be spending at school, the school itself and the people in it will make a huge influence on how your child will turn out. If you are looking for a preschool that will offer top quality education and childcare, then a visit to EarlyEducationPros.org is a must. This site is the official site of Apple Tree Preschool which has branches in Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Connecticut. So whether you are looking for an Iowa...
