17th of June is Father’s Day and my kids are pretty excited about this day. A couple of days ago, my daughter asked me how many more days before Father’s Day and when I answered her she immediately went upstairs to the homeschool room with her brother. Only a little while later did I know that they were already making cards and crafts for Father’s Day. It’s kinda automatic for them to do something special for special occasions and maybe in the future they can make dad to be gifts . Anyways, they’ve safely hid their ‘surprise’ inside the homeschool room...

In our effort to catch up with our homeschool schedule, I’ve been giving my daughter a lot of pre reading assignments, then we have discussions and then quizzes to check on how much information she has retained on head. I’m not so sure if this is the best way to teach but I feel that we have to do this at this time because we are just way behind our schedule. I’m just thankful though that my daughter is quite a fast reader and she does remember what she reads about. So, I guess this is what prompted me to do it this way. But I’m sure it’ll be more beneficial for her...
