Subject: Foal Artist: Tricia This is another drawing of my 8 year old. I love how she draws with graceful yet certain lines. Whenever I draw, my lines are mostly thin and uncertain, it’s like trying to figure out how the subject must be shaped. And when I see that everything is somehow proportioned and ‘right’, it’s only then I draw thicker lines. But my daughter is different. When she draws, her lines are mostly ‘certain’ and surprisingly, it’s also right. That’s why even if people say, she got her ‘artistic abilities’ from me, but I...

It was a Saturday morning, it wasn’t even a homeschool day but look what my kids are doing. Tricia is teaching Lyle his maths. Lyle is still in Kindergarten and he still doesn’t have Maths in his curriculum but I bought for him a math activity book just to get him started. And since it’s not really part of the ‘curriculum’ , I let them have the freedom to work on it. Oh, who wouldn’t allow their kids to do maths on a Saturday? LOL! I guess these are the ‘typical’ things homeschool kids do. For them learning is not something they ‘have’...

During our long road trip from Malaysia to Thailand, my daughter was able to compose a song. Hubby and I were amazed as to how fast she was able to write the song and think of the tune. Though it’s not really a perfect song, but for me it’s an amazing feat since she has done it almost spontaneously. It’s a song about a girl who felt alone but at the end she found God and is not alone anymore. I asked her about how she came up with the idea of the song, whether it’s her or not. I was actually checking her because unknowingly, she might have felt alone at a certain period...

I have a confession to make. I have been hoarding Kindle book and ebooks like anything ever since I’ve had this device. I have hundreds of ebooks in it now and I’m still downloading new things each week. Most of the books I’m actually downloading are for my kids. I’m subscribed to one site that regularly announces free kindle books. As you see, in Amazon some books are offered for free at certain times. I’ve actually got great books and it’s my daughter who is most happy with the new books she gets every week. As for my son, he likes his books there but I think...

My daughter is very excited to do her science experiments that has something to do with magnets and batteries. I have actually entrusted this ‘task’ to Hubby. He’s our DIY and electrical guy so I thought our daughter might learn more from him. But then, it seems that their experiments sessions always gets postpoine since Hubby is quite busy with work. So, I think I will eventually do these experiments with her. It will be a good thing though so, both of us can learn new things. Thankfully, the experiments doesn’t seem as complicated and they don’t require big stuff...
