Now, I feel so guilty. I haven’t been homeschooling my girl for 2 weeks now. We were supposed to get back to homeschooling this week but my son has been admited in the hospital last Monday. We got discharged on Tuesday but his condition hasn’t improved for two days and decided to have him checked on Thursday again. Then, last night he got appendectomy. Yes, my 3.5 year old boy had his first surgery at a very young age. Now, he is still complaining of pain in his operated area. I know that it’s really painful since I myself had a Cesarian operation when I gave birth to him. We...

This morning was Tricia’s graduation for the English Summer Workshop ( Batch 1). We’re a bit sad that Hubby and I were not able to attend the ceremony and see her presentation. They were supposed to give out roses to the parents after their song ” Thank You!” but we were not there. But we were left with no choice since we have to be here with our son. The doctors are still trying to find out whether he is positive for appendicitis and will have to do immediate surgery if needed. That’s why both HUbby and I have to be here to make decision making easier. We will have...

I didn’t plan for us to have a school break for this month. I originally set our staright 3 month schedule without breaks so, we will be able to finish our program in June. But, we’re currently doing a 1 month English Summer Workshop at the center in which my li’l girl is a part of. Last week, I wasn’t able to seriously do homeschool with her too as I was so busy preparing the curriculum and activities for the workshop. So, I guess I have no choice but to make this as her Summer holiday. It’s kinda pity for my daughter if I let her stop attending the workshop since...

Here we are now at our center, busy preparing for our English Summer Workshop. At the start of the week, I attempted to do a little bit of homeschool while I help out with the Center’s preparation. So, I brought along all of my girl’s Writing Worksheets and Math Workbook. My daughter has ‘breezed’ through all the sheets. But since I was so busy coming up with different student activities for the workshop, I wasn’t able to fully monitor my girl. At the end of the day, I saw her worksheets and she didn’t really do them well. I know she wanted to finish everything...

One friday a month, we cancel experiment days and my girl and I go for a girl’s day out. So last Friday was our so-called girl’s day out and we both had a blast. There are actually no ‘lessons’ involved during our girl’s day out though sometimes we bring along a writing activity or two but it’s just a time for us to bond. Last Friday, we went to B’s Sweet for a snack. She had choco shake and the Lava cake while I had Walnut Brownies and Cappucino shake. We chit chatted and she also did some sketching. So, I also had some relaxing time reading the newspaper...
