Fridays are my daughter’s most awaited day. It’s her experiment day for her homeschool. She’s really enjoying all the hands on experience she’s getting from her science program. Today, she made her own play dough that’s made of flour. We were supposed to make bread but I overlooked the yeast. I was sure to have one but somehow I couldn’t find it in my cupboard. Anyways, I also find her experiments very helpful to help her fully understand the concepts that she studies in her science book. Reading and following instructions from her book. Tadaa!! Baking done! Now it’s time...

As I go through a lot of homeschool blogs, I’m just so amazed as to how organized other moms are. They have developed their own way of organizing things and their time. Oh, I’m so far from being organized and I really wish I am. This is one reason why I chose Sonlight Core K as my curriculum for my daughter. Praise God! Our problem’s solved. We were concerned of our girl’s irregular homeschool due to our son’s unpredictable sleeping pattern. As mentioned before, I can only homeschool my girl once our li’l 3 year old is asleep. He is very active and it’s an arduous task for me to keep him quiet and behaved while I do lessons with my girl. My girl on the other hand get easily distracted and loses her concentration. But now, we have found a babysitter for our boy. Yesterday was our boy’s second day to our friends’ house. I’m thankful that everything seems...

My daughter doesn’t like to do her writing activity. I think that’s a common problem for all Kindergarten students. Writing seems boring and hard. I know, I’ve been there. But what puzzles me is that when she was still going for her Thai school, she would write pages and pages of the Thai scripts. And her penmanship is beautiful. But when it comes to write the romanized letters and words, he penmanship doesn’t seem as beautiful. It must be because she’s not really trying her best or she likes to write the Thai scripts better. But nevertheless, I’m trying to...

Oh, I can’t find the video where my then 3.5 year old girl was reading from the book, Learn to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. That video was so cute! I remember I downloaded that in my Multiply or Tagged account. Yes, that was before I used YouTube. Such a pity I couldn’t retrieve that video anymore and so with the other videos I downloaded there. Tsk.tsk.tsk…
