We’re moving next year. We’re actually thinking of sending our son to Kindergarten after our move. I’m still not so sure about it but currently contemplating on it. We just want him to be exposed a bit on how it is to be on a school setting. Of course, our long term plan is still homeschool but maybe he can be in a kindy even just for a couple of months. But if we ask our son now, he’s not actually agreeing on our ‘idea’ but we’ll see. Anyways, we still have a few months to think about it.

My printing frenzy has gone. Oh, I could still remember those days when I would be printing out books, activity sheets and etc. to my heart’s content. It actually started after getting 10 free ebooks from Scholastica. I had 10 different activity books for my kids and I wanted to print them all and let them do it. I don’t regret printing those books. My kids were able and are still using those activity books. I use them as a supplement or just so they have something to do. I still have a lot of ebooks to print out but then, our printer still needs a little bit of fixing before I can...

I really thank God for giving my daughter a great talent in the arts. She’s only 8 years old but can draw anything from cartoons to nature. She really loves to draw and aside from reading, drawing is her next favorite thing to do. There would be nights when she just spends drawing and drawing in her notebook. The other night, she ‘taught’ herself how to draw by looking at the book she was reading. Here is the result after ‘teaching’ herself how to do a deer. It’s quite pretty, right?

We went to church last Sunday in Taiping. And since we go to the same church every time we visit the town, the people are already quite familiar with us and the kids. After the service, the drummer allowed my son to play with the drums by himself. He’s actually quite good in beating the drums as his grip is strong and I think I heard some kind of a rhythm as he played. When it was time to go, the church drummer asked me if our son goes for drums classes. Oh, that actually gave me an idea since my son is quite interested in playing the drums then why not send him for classes. I will have...

We were travelling again for a week, so that means we were on homeschool break. Being on a break actually gives me a mixed feeling.. I feel so happy to be on a break and enjoy a ‘mini holiday’ but at the same time I get so guilty of ‘neglecting’ homeschool for the kids. But anyways, after the break, I always get perked up and try to be catch up and do as much work as we can when we get back. We have an action plan for this week on how to achieve straight 3 weeks in homeschool without interruptions. I hope it’ll work and my kids can have as much fun and learning...
