We’re having an ‘unofficial’ homeschool break this month. I say it’s unofficial because it was unplanned. It just so happened that this month is a Thai School Break and we’re having special English classes in our center for the Thai kids. Personally, I would prefer to continue homeschooling my girl this month so, we could finish our materials on time but on the other hand, going for this special classes can also give her the opportunity to be with students her age to talk with and to play with. As what they say… socialization. So, I toss away my expectations...
What should I get hubby for the holidays? He has been working so hard and never seem to mind about buying new clothes, especially for himself. He is not really particular about brands, but I guess it would be good that he would have one of those designer clothes for men. I am not sure if he would like the idea that I would give him a costly gift, but I could just try—he deserves it after a hard year’s work. If I decide to let him fit one and then I’ll buy it, he might refuse to receive a gift that could cost so much so I thought, I might as well get it online so it will come out as a total...
It is not easy being a homeschooling mommy blogger. Oftentimes I get teased by hubby that I blog almost about anything—from my household chores, my diet, my kids, yes… even including him. Many times he would check my blogs if he is mentioned there. But who else could I write about but them? That’s why if you don’t want to be mentioned in a blog, don’t hang out with bloggers too much. Of course some people gladly enjoy the limelight so it works for them. Sometimes when I am not at home, I get so worried about my writing assignments online I wish that my hp netbooks in a good condition...
My daughter’s postcard collection is growing every month. I think it’s not just her who gets excited whenever she receives a postcard but the whole family. It’s really fun to receive a random postcard from people from different parts of the world. Most of the people who sent her postcard are also so thoughtful in their personal notes. I wonder how many postcards my daughter will receive this year. If she continues with postcrossing until she grows up to her teenage years, I’m sure her collection will be huge. I could just remember my younger years, when I used to collect...
I’m currently reading this book , The Successful Homeschool Family Handbook by Dr. Raymond and Dorothy Moore. Even if I’ve been homeschooling my daughter for a year now, but this book has somehow changed my perspective in homeschool. As mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I’ve been a Reluctant Homeschooler Mom. I didn’t ‘choose’ to homeschool but the circumstances around ’forced’ me to do it. But as I read through this handbook, I was finally convinced, that I’m not opting for the ‘lesser’ education for my kids but the BEST....
