Yes, our homeschool finally starts this coming Monday. I would have wanted to start immediately to keep up with our lost time, but then our homeschool room is currently a mess as it has become a ‘stock room’ for awhile wherein our luggage bags and stuff from the Philippines are being kept. I couldn’t do much organizing and arranging for now because a guest is occupying my daughter’s room where we were supposed to keep all those luggage bags and other stuff. So, homeschool seriously starts on Monday and I pray that the kids and I can ease our way through our new schedule...

My kids and I just arrived in the city yesterday. Hubby fetched us from the airport and there were actually 2 things that awaited the kids at home, four newly born rabbit kits and a surprise gift. Of course, they’ve been looking forward to hold the kits and they were so happy to finally see them. The other surprise waiting for them was the kid sized guitar that Hubby has brought all the way from Cebu! Oh, the kids were ecstatic and buying and bringing it all the way from Cebu was really worth it because it was cheap. I don’t know though if buying Godin Guitars at musicians friend could...

My daughter just had her eyes checked a few weeks ago and I was saddened by the fact that her lens power was increased by a 100%. I think she has really just been doing too much reading ( sometimes without proper lighting) for the past months. I always remind her to take care of her eyes and only read with proper lighting but sometimes these reminders fall into deaf ears. She just loves to read and I even noticed that her reading speed has increased as much as her lens have. Anyways, it’s a blessing thought that we got eyeglasses specials sale during the time we bought her new glasses...

We are still here in the Philippines. We’ve been here for almost a month now. I intentionally didn’t do any homeschooling in December. But I originally planned to homeschool a bit this month while we’re still here. I didn’t bring our homeschool books but I was informally homeschooling the kids. For my daughter, we do spelling, creative writing and Science ( through Usborn quicklinks). For my son, I use a few books from our preschool here. Though we’re not homeschooling full time , but at least my kids are still learning a few things during our mini ‘vacation’...

We’ve heard a lot of good things about Dahilayan Nature park, I even envied all the photos I saw posted by my friends in Facebook. And finally, our family were able to visit the place last week. Oh, we had great fun! It was a trip for the kids, so I intentionally didn’t do the zipline but just let the kids ride the horses and play at the playground. I love the cool weather there. It wasn’t really so cold where we would need our north face fleece jackets , but the weather was a great change from the city. It was even a bonus that it drizzled in the afternoon which made the place...
