If our budget allows, I really want our daughter to start her swimming lessons this August. I believe she’s ready for the lessons since she herself has been asking when she’s going to start. I guess she really has started to become keen in swimming lessons when we went to the pool a few weeks ago and we didn’t allow her to go to the adult pool. To her dismay, she was just inside the kiddie pool with her brother while the rest of our friends were in the bigger pool. It’s good that we send her to swimming lessons while she’s still young. It’ll be a good training...

Wow! We’ve finally finished this year’s homeschool curriculum.. well, almost.. I just need to iron a few things out like letting my daughter finish her Math’s workbook, writing, projects and Memory verses. Opps.. writing them down now makes me realize that it does seem we still have a lot of things to catch up. As for her writing, she only has a few pages to write. Her maths is actually not much but did I mention that my daughter kinda dislike math? It must run in the blood huh? ) As for her memory verses, she just needs to master a few more verses and once she’s ready...

I’ve read quite a number of blogs that give praises for iPads and its usefulness in teaching the kids, especially the preschoolers. Well, this doesn’t make me want to buy an iPad but somehow it got me curious. Oh, I’m a bit low tech and honestly, I haven’t tried out how an iPad works yet. Maybe I would have to try it out soon so, I will know what these blogger moms are talking about. But as for me, I will have to stick with teaching my kids the old, traditional way (with a little help from the internet of course). The internet has also helped me a lot in teaching the kids....

My girl wanted to be an archelologist once and just recently she found out about the job of a Paleontologist and she wanted to be one too. Oh, I couldn’t count anymore how many ‘careers’ she wants to tackle in the future because it does seem that once she finds a profession that appeals to her, she just adds it up to her list without giving up the others. Funny huh? One thing she doesn’t want though is to become a Doctor, she would rather be a nurse she said. Oh, there’s a story behind why she wanted to become a nurse. But, I wonder if wants to be an engineer too...

I’m still not sure what to do for Tricia’s music subject for this year. Earlier, we were planning to let her take violin lessons as she has expressed her interest in learning the instrument. But knowing our daughter, she can be interested for a period of time but it usually doesn’t last long. But anyways, for the benefit of the doubt, we went to one of the music school here in the city to inquire about their classes. It was our first time to be in that music school and we were quite impressed with it. They actually offer music, dance and art classes. They have several small...
