We’re using the Usborne Encycopedia ( internet linked) for my daughter’s homeschool program. This book is used for her History, Culture, Geography and Science Subjects.
The book is very colorful and each page is packed with interesting information. I love the contents of the book as well as the internet links.
If you have any Usborne internet linked book, you just go to www.usborne-quicklinks.com and search for the title of the book and key in the pages you’re currently studying.
For example, my daughter was studying about the Arts on page 172-173 from her Children’s Encylopedia and this is one of the sites that we visited : Destination Modern Art. Try it and you’ll see that the activities in this site are fun for the kids.
As for Science subject, here is one of the games she played when she was studying about plants.
