We’ve been living here in Hat Yai for a decade and it’s funny that we only get to discover the Folklore Museum in Songkhla recently. It’s a great ‘discovery’ I should say for one gets to learn so much about Southern Thailand from the visit. Our kids really enjoyed the tour but unfortunately, we didn’t get to have enough sleep the day before and so we ended up so tired midway. The museum is quite big and one has to be quite prepared going up and down the stairs to enter into different huts and rooms to view the exhibits. There are 30 rooms and huts with different displays ranging from coins, coconut graters, local costumes, education, religion and etc.
We will surely go back there next time and make sure that we’ve had a good night sleep, breakfast and camera full of battery and empty SD card to fully enjoy the museum experience.
